Asin makes her comeback in Kollywood with Vijay's remake of Malayalam movie 'Bodyguard'. As known earlier the Malayalam film featured Dileep and Nayanthara in lead roles. With the film turning to be one of the biggest grosser at box office, Vijay couldn't refuse the offer of Siddhique for remake this film.

Earlier producer R.B Choudary of Super Good Films was supported to produce the film, but seems like there has been a change in plans. Now Sivaraju Vekatraju of Geetha Chitra International who has previously produced Vijay's Priymanavale in 2000, is going to produce the film.

It's worth mentioning here that Vijay and Siddhique have earlier delivered a family entertainer 'Friends'. Vijay and Asin have already worked together in a couple of Movie - Sivakasi and Pokkiri.
