The Karan Razdan’s movie Mittal V/S Mittal is releasing today on 26th March 2010. The movie MITTAL V/S MITTAL is based on a story where the husband commits marital rape everyday. Razdan’s Mittal V/S Mittal will become an eye-opener for the society; it loses focal point midway after it gets formulaic but it is a solid idea.
The movie is highlighting the problems faced by women while it has often on the Hindi screen to make this type of movies. The matter of domestic violence is a real issue today in society. Generally Women prefer to be quiet rather than lift a voice or move against it in court for justice.
Now talk about the story of the movie. Mitali [Rituparna Sengupta] is a successful model in the movie with dreams of marriage with her dreamy prince. She meets Karan Mittal [Rohit Roy], the inheritor of one of the richest families in the nation. Mitali is a simple and middle-class girl while Karan is comletele different to Karan’s super-brat lifestyle.

Love-struck by the model Mitali, Karan went to Mitali’s home with his parents with the proposal of marriage. Mitali’s family is happy for daughter’s luck and give approval for the marriage. The marriage is made official. But the new married bride Mitali’s dreams became her most horrible nightmare. Her mother-in-law hates her and creates misunderstandings between Karan and her and her father-in-law is a helpless. Karan is a puppet of his mother’s hands. Karan has a certain way to deal with women and wants to control Mitali’s self-dependent streak. In fact Karan is shown as a violent monster at night within the time alone of their bedroom.
When Mitali has not able to tolerate the dishonor and pain of after repeatedly raped by her husband, she decides to take charge of her life. Mitali left Karan’s home and cotacts a lawyer (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi) and suits her husband. Karan wants to get revenge. He hires the best lawyer (Gulshan Grover) with his money to fight for him.

Karan Razdan may have a fine vision of what he wanted to make, but it’s not always sufficient. Though there are a few songs in the story, the theme song that comes at various intervals has a lasting feel.
The actress Rituparna and actor Rohit are realistic and credible. Rituparna plays her role with complete understanding. The role of Gulshan Grover and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi is powerful.

Verdict : Badly executed!
