The director Badri Venkatesh's upcoming flick 'Baana Kaathadi' is all set to release on July 9th. The popular actor Murali's son Atharva is playing the male lead role in this flick and Samantha is playing female lead role in this flick. Another heroine Prasaana is also playing a prominent character while Karunaas has been playing the comedian role in this flick.

Baana Kaathadi is about a kite lover whose entire life revolves around the kites and competitions concerning to it. It is certainly for the first time in Tamil cinema history that a film has been shot at real crowd in the Gujarat’s Kite Festival.

The film is produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and T Arjun of ‘Sathyajyothi Films’ and the music for the film have been given by Yuvan Shankar Raja
