Much waited day of the year comes today.Maniratnam’s trilingual magnum opus ‘Raavanan’ (Raavan in Hindi and Villain in Telugu) is hitting the big screens today after creating much exceptions among the people all over the world.

In Tamil Nadu a total of 220 prints of Raavanan would be released and 125 prints are being released overseas. The Hindi version will have 500 prints across the country, in addition to 305 for overseas while the Telugu version will have 125 prints in India and 25 overseas. All together Raavanan is releasing in 1280 prints in three versions all over the world. The censor board has certified with clean ‘U’. Madras Talkies and Reliance Big Pictures have acquired the rights of the film.

The star cast of the Tamil version includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthik and Prithivi Raj while the Hindi version includes Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram. AR Rahman’s music has already hits the market and created much hype on the film also.
