July Big Month for Kollywood




July is seems to be a big month for kollywood, the big and small films scheduled for release. The films that are are announced as a July release are eagerly awaited like Madrassapattinam, Thillangadi, Naan Mahan Alla, Vandae Maatharam, Baana Kathadi, Ayyanar, Bale Pandiya and other movies.


Releasing Movies :

July 9 :

Madrassapattinam - The eagerly awaited big budget film Madrassapattinam is set in backdrops of ancient Chennai during pre-independence period, the film revolves around an affair that take up between a Dhobi and daughter of British Governor. G.V Prakash scored music and it has been making some good waves on air. The 'Kireedom' fame directer Vijay has directed. AGS Entertainment has produced this film. Red Giant Movies get the distribution rights for this movie.


Anandhapurathu Veedu : The next venture by director Shankar's S Pictures. the film is directed by Naga who is popular for his television drams. The movie is set in Nagercoil and revolves around an ancestral property, where a child come across a couple of ghots. And the movie is completely based on a comedy-thriller that revolves mystery buried in a house for 23 years that is rekindled on the visit of family.


July 16 :

Vandae Maatharam : Vandae Maatharam is an Investigative action thriller with Malayalam Super Star Mammootty and Action hero Arjun in the lead. The movie is based of group of officers who go hunting for terrorists, who have been creating havoc in the Tamil Nadu - Kerala border. Mammootty plays an officer in the Intelligence Bureau while Arjun plays Superintendent of Police. The film feature two heroines, Sneha and Sharadha Arya.


July 23 :


Naan Mahaan Alla : Karthi and Kajal Agarwal starrer 'Naan Mahaan Alla'. The film has been directed by Suseendran of 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' fame. This is a different film for the director as his first film was set in village backdrop and 'Naan Mahaan Alla' is a city centric film. This film is produced by K.E Gnanavel Rajan of Studio Green Films. The movie is about the bonding of a serious father and a romantic son, laced with the criminal backdrops of Chennai.



Thillalangadi
: Thillalangadi is a remake of Telugu ht 'Kick'. This movie brings together Jayam Ravi his brother and director Raja, and his father and producer Mohan. Jayam Ravi and Tamannaah play the lead roles and Shaam reprises his role from the original. Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is an out-and-out entertainer with peppy songs. And the movie is about an intelligent thief who loots money from the rich and the famous.
