The actress Ileana has officially conformed that she has signed up with director Shankar for the remake of '3 Idiots'. Ileana will play the role of Kareena Kapoor. She will be in the both the Tamil and Telugu version the film. Vijay will play the lead role in Tamil version, Meanwhile Mahesh Babu will do the lead role in Telugu version.

The film being planned as a summer release and the shoot will most probably by early November.
