'The Social Network' named as 'Best Picture of 2010'

The Social Network won Best Picture of 2010,



'The Social Network' which is about the creation of Facebook and how it was brought to fruition, has been named the best picture of 2010 by the Los Angles Film Critics Association. It was directed by David Fincher, shared the directing prize with Olivier Assayas, whose biopic ‘Carlos’ was voted best foreign language film, reports the BBC.

Winners will be honored at a ceremony in Los Angeles on 15 January.

‘The Social Network’ also won an additional prize for Aaron Sorkin’s screenplay and shared the best score award with Roman Polanski’s ‘The Ghost Writer’.

The Social Network and Firth have also been honored by the Richard Attenborough Film Awards, presented annually by the UK’s regional movie critics.
